Introduction to Choongum

This weekend I got an email from a 17-year-old kid named Johnny Henick. We do receive tons of great music from a number of teenagers all the time, all of which is pretty awesome in its own respect. But what put Johnny far ahead of the competition was his eclectic catalog of EPs. While the music and influences vary from EP to EP, by far my favorite project had to be Lights. Leaning heavily to the ambient side, this selection of songs grab elements from nature to create quite a beautiful soundscape. Not too shabby for a high-schooler, eh?
