Just two days before Chicago’s Ibn Inglor released his severely underplayed project New Wave back in September, the young artist dropped his introspective and angst-filled single, “Black Print”. Fortunately for all who enjoy fascinating, excellent music and their visual counterparts, the music video for the aforementioned single has descended upon us. Director Andre Muir handles the dark creation, in which an immobile Inglor descends further and further into the depths of his inner self. Through the various light streams and stacked fades of Ibn’s open-mouthed face, we’re traveling along with him.
Standing in front of an all-black background, the visuals directly connect with the artwork of New Wave (which you should seriously download and listen to).
Before you listen, keep a specific lyric of his in mind: “Fuck comparisons.” Watch “Black Print” below.
