The eight dudes in Chicago’s Hypnotic Brass Ensemble have made some big moves these past few years. They appeared on one of the hottest cuts on BK-One’s Radio Do Canibal and then showed up on Gorillaz’s Plastic Beach to add some horns to the mix. That’s not all, though. The guys also put together what’s sounding like a nifty lil’ project in the Bulletproof Brass EP. Yes, some of you might already have it as it was released earlier this summer but hey, we only just caught wind of it, so we thought you could get down with their brassy funk.

They supported Prince @ Malahide Castle in Dublin a few weeks back too. He even brought them out on stage to do Musicology with him. These dudes been rocking a tight live show for the past few years and they much deserve their recent success. Great to see some real talented instrument players making it good in this current major label controlled era
