Our latest musical journey through the soothing sounds of down-tempo, shoegaze, and ambient music comes from London’s Hypermagic. I have tried finding more information on the multi-talented artist — he layers all the vocals, guitars, and programmed sounds you hear on his tracks — but all I have stumbled upon is his modest MySpace page. But to Hypermagic’s credit, this description of the San Fairy Ann is pretty awesome and accurate: “Layers of rustic beats, rusty clicks and shrouded voices whipped with kaleidoscope guitars, rheumatic feedback and whatever else is in the fridge.” Word.
