Some shows on BBC Radio 1 are just straight-up goldmines for hearing previously unreleased tunes from some of our favorite artists. Case in point: MistaJam played a never-before-heard Hudson Mohawke track, “Sweet Silverskin”, last night. It’s definitely not the best we’ve heard from the Glaswegian producer, but it’s also probably some rough cut that he passed around to his friends as a teaser. And that’s how I’m seeing this: a mere glimpse into what could be a speaker-crushing banger.
