Even though Major Lazer basically pursues any sound they want, you can essentially boil it down to two categories, ridiculously hype and laid-back mellow. Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do found the group pounding out club bangers, some of them legendary, punctuated with the occasional reggae inspired tune, which were arguably the most rewarding tracks on the album. Even though they already cranked out a remix to Hot Chip’s “Look At Where We Are” that would set a dancefloor on fire, we get another one today showcasing the other side of the coin from Major Lazer and Junior Blender. This one is perfect for the hot summer weather, so excuse me while I hunker down in my sweltering apartment with this on repeat.
