Homeboy Sandman – “Musician”

homeboy-sandman-colorsNo disrespect to Bob Dylan/ But show respect for Madvillain.”

Those of the words of Queens rapper Homeboy Sandman, who spits the above bars on “Musician”. It’s one of several hard-hitting cuts on his latest Stones Throw EP, All That I Hold Dear, which was produced entirely by Dallas, Texas’ M. Slago. And even though that release has been out for a minute, I still wanted to shine some light on both Sandman and “Musician”. I know dude can be a little wordy for some and perhaps even a little out there for others, but all it takes is for one of his tracks (like this one) to resonate with you to make you a believer. I know that’s how I grew to appreciate his music.

You can listen to the track below and buy the EP on Amazon (for four bucks!). Also, be sure to listen to Sandman on the latest Shots Fired.
