OK, I’m not really a film-tech person, so I’m not sure how this Homeboy Sandman video, “Men Are Mortal”, was shot, but it’s pretty damn hypnotizing. He’s hopping around with his jumprope on the top of a building, but the footage of him doing so at a constantly changed speed. Yet, his mouth is moving at the same speed as his blistering raps, which are off his Kool Herc: Fertile Crescent EP. The video was directed by Pace Rivers and features a surprise ending that I definitely didn’t see coming. No spoilers! Also, did you know that Sandman has an EP with Paul White on the way? Yup.
