Look, the world being as big it is — fuck anyone who utters “small world, ain’t it?” coyly — we sometimes miss out on artists we would otherwise absolutely love. Case in point: New Zealand’s Hollie Smith and Mara TK, the latter of whom is from one of our favorite acts, Electric Wire Hustle. We somehow missed the boat on their joint album, Band of Brothers Vol. 1, which dropped Aug. 1. So yeah, we’re not that late, but still, this is our kind of music.
