Just came across this dope instrumental album by Detroit producer Hir-O. Hir-O’s new album is titled The Voyage Home which he describes as; “an anthology of audio that forms a gradient ranging from electronic inspired sounds-capes to that Real Live Detroit Sh*t.” His description is pretty accurate sonically because he samples Flying Lotus and includes a moving J Dilla tribute on the album. One of my favourite tracks on here is “Palace Floor” which samples “Let Me Prove My Love to You” by The Main Ingredient which you remember on Alicia Key’s “You Don’t Know My Name”. If Hir-O’s future projects sound anything like this then you can expect to see more of his music on here. Please check out the new album and let us know what you think. Shout out to Whutupdoe.com.
