Hexsagon – Charlie Parker Beat Tape

Yes, I’m a sucker for jazz. There’s just something about its sophistication and buttery tones that I find irresistible – especially around the holiday time. Therefore, when fellow Potholian Andrew sent Hexsagon’s latest project my way, I was immediately curious. Hexsagon is a budding beatsmith who apparently shares my passion for jazz, as his latest beat tape is based upon Charlie Parker samples. After just the first few cuts, it’s quite obvious that he’s onto something special with the Charlie Parker Beat Tape (similar to what Dela did with Robert Glasper). In any case, Hexsagon is offering this project up for free (he’s also in the holiday spirit too, apparently).
