I have said it before and I’ll damn sure say it again: I love noisy, distorted music with pop elements. Whether it’s noise pop or shoegaze, I’m just drawn to it. Don’t ask me why, but I love the juxtaposition of sounds. The ethereal vocals. The gritty, nasty guitars. The simplistic percussion. It all just works for me. And that’s why today I’m bringing you the latest EP from Heavy Ghost. Ten Thousand Years is a quick but beautiful affair that should influence some of y’all to dig deeper into the noisier side of rock.

Check they’re last.fm page dptoropov, they’ve been around since 09. It ain’t a huge deal. It’s just a name.
I’m into it, but what the fuck is going on with all of these acts with “Ghost” in their name?
Ghost Animal, TV Ghost, Heavy Ghost, ghostpoet, Holy Ghost just off the top of my head. And those are all acts with debuts this year.
