Harlem World: Dapper Dan [Video Interview]

Chances are that if you’re in tune with your hip hop history, Dapper Dan or some form of him has come across your path, whether he is the main topic of discussion in a hip hop fashion dissertation (as he should be) or you may have just seen his clothes worn by the greats like Eric B & Rakim, LL Cool J, and Big Daddy Kane. Whatever the reason, it would be pretty reasonable to think that you’ve seen his work before, and in this Life & Times interview, we get to see some of the rare history into Dapper Dan and how he became the street fashion don that he is today. This is his first interview in 20 years,  marking the beginning of his return to the public eye, so it’s kind of a big deal.
