Every so often, you come across an album so damn good that you can’t understand why you hadn’t heard before. That happened to me when I stumbled across Without a Sound, the latest album from Down Under outfit Harbour City Electric. The 14-track effort is infused with heavy doses of soul, R&B, rock, and especially funk. Not one of these sounds conflicts with the other, either, making this both a cohesive and highly replayable album. If you are looking for something new and fresh, do not pass on Without a Sound.
