First off, yes, this is a Gwen Stefani remix, but much like many successful remixes of late, if disregard the source material, this track really grows into something special. It’s the handy work of UK beatsmith Lapalux, and it’s a level of soulful you wouldn’t imagine Gwen Stefani reaching. The track description simply states “In the lap of luxury” and that’s exactly how the track feels. After the echoing vocals and synths build, the track breaks into a sea of smooth R&B vibes drenched with beautifully layered Gwen Stefani vocals.
