Gorgeous Children was probably inspired by Clipse’s Hell Hath No Fury. We all were, in our own unique ways. It was a great album with a dark vibe bolstered by a bunch of new keyboard presets that the Neptunes happened upon, and it had a bigger impact than Lord Willin because kids were really into Bape gear in 2006.
Gorgeous Children, a duo consisting of the rapper Face Vega and the producer Gila Monsta, just dropped their their self-titled debut, and the opener is “Caked Up”. It’s an obvious nod to “Mr. Me Too” because it samples the words Pusha T uttered on the song that are responsible for the song’s title. And because of this, and its interesting production (production that’ll be compared to Spaceghostpurrp, and such) that doesn’t make you think of radiant spring days, you have the basis for the angle I took to alert you to their new music. Also: there’s the line “she make that Wee-Bey face.”
