Hailing from the Murder Capital, multifaceted artist GoldLink has been releasing quality songs for a minute now and it’s time we provided some official support following the drop of his newest track, “Creep.” Remixing the legendary TLC song of the same name, it’s a very good time to gain exposure: TLC has rarely left music headlines since the release of their cable movie on Monday night.
Of course, the opportunity would be wasted if the young man did not deliver, but that’s no issue here. Riding the beat flawlessly, Link oozes with energetic flows and tuned, rap-sing style all while exhibiting his very distinct voice. Though unmistakable, he contains the smallest of similarities to some other artists; namely, Chance the Rapper and Andre 3000, the latter of which can be heard occasionally through GoldLink’s cadence or enunciation of a final word in a line. I also really enjoyed the little switch-up towards the backend of the beat.
Listen to the soulful, entertaining record below, and check out some other tracks on GoldLink’s Soundcloud.

Shouts out to Yung Alex Siber.
