There’s a lot of talent in Toronto and you can see it as of late over here on Potholes. Not just the predictable Drake and Weeknd coverage, but Rich Kidd and Elaquent and even Book & Bronze on our recent 5 Hip Hop Producers You Need To Know feature. Another Toronto beatsmith you should keep an eye out for is Sol X. After dropping a remix to fellow Torontonian the Weeknd’s “Twenty Eight” and a flip of Submotion Orchestra’s “Blind Spot“, Sol X is back with another remix and this time. It’s just as dark and minimal as what we came to like of him.
