Gangrene – “Take Drugs”

Gangrene is Alchemist and Oh No. Gutter Water is the album. It’s kinda like a 2010 Champion Sound. Two producers known more for smoldering instrumentals than dazzling lyricism trade bars over each others beats. “Take Drugs” is the single. It’s fucking bananas, even if ALC spits “I stay high like the pussy of a giraffe is.” The beat is some ol’ beat-you-in-your-head-with-a-spike-bat shit. The lyrics (“Do smack/ Do coke/ Don’t do wack/ I do dope”) might drag at times, but they’re hilarious. This thing bangs pretty hard. Don’t believe me? Watch the video. If you’ve ever wanted to kidnap and shave a pizza boy, you’ll get a kick out of it. Also, you’ll want to seek help, STAT. ‘Cause you done lost yo mind, just like the kids in the 911 call at the beginning of the song on some “I think we’re dead.” Take drugs!
