We have some bad news for all you G-Side fans out there. The Huntsville, Ala.-repping duo has officially called it quits after some 12-13 years together. Their most recent album, the damn-good iSLAND, will be their last as a duo. One half, ST 2 Lettaz, is getting ready to launch his solo career with G…Growth & Development dropping in December or early 2013. While I’m personally sad to see this news, Lettaz made some good points in his chat with Spin about the decision:
“It just felt like it was time. It was time to go elsewhere creatively. We’ve been doing records since 2004. You just grow up and grow out and that’s kind of the case. I wish there was something juicy, but it’s like, there’s no big drama behind it, man. There was no fall-out, no fight, you know what I mean?”
