Who doesn’t love a little vocoder action? Whether it’s on Big Boi‘s “Shutterbug” or Stevie Wonder is fooling with one it adds a certain element that autotune never will–soul. That’s the case with Full Crate’s “Cherrie Hats” featuring crooner Chris Turner. Golden Glasses is a electronic, beats, funk leaning release that’ll help push the 26-year-old further into the spotlight. The cat is from Amsterdam, so you know what he’s on–vocal sampling and boom bap awesomeness. And, other substances I’m sure (not to put joints in his mouth or anything). I was just browsing one of my favorite blogs, stumbled upon this glorious release and now I’m hooked. Ya’ll gotta hear this.
