Here’s how the Pop Massacre concept works. The folks at Friends of Friends Music gather classic pop tracks from the past and present and then send them to some of their favorite electronic/left-field hip-hop producers. The resulting effort is a sprawling mindfuck of a remix project that really only can be described as a Pop Massacre. Cats like Jonwayne, Mexicans with Guns, Shlohmo, Radius, and Salva have gotten their mitts on joints by the likes of Ginuwine, Christina Aguilera, Sisqo, and the Beatles to create one of the craziest things you’ll hear today.
