I know this breed of music isn’t what you might normally see us post here on Potholes. But you know what? Freddie Gibbs is one hell of a talented MC and he’s making some damn good music. And chances are you already knew that as his previous projects, such as The Miseduction of Freddie Gibbs, have displayed his skills. Here, we have the impressive visuals for his Str8 Killa EP’s lead single, “National Anthem (Fuck the World)”. Even if you somehow don’t like the video, though, I have a difficult time believing you won’t enjoy his lyricism and that fantastic complementary production. One thing though — anyone else think Gibbs should become the mascot for people who like to throw up their middle-finger? Just a thought.
