Listen to Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s “Knicks” Remix Featuring Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$ & Ransom

madgibbs-knicks-remixAnyone fiendin’ for new MadGibbs (that’s Madlib and Freddie Gibbs, for those who don’t know) material this year can rest easy. The dynamic rap duo has announced the Knicks Remix EP, which is set to drop Nov. 18 through Madlib’s own imprint, Madlib Invazion. In addition to boasting several bonus beats and a new track with BJ The Chicago Kid, MadGibbs enlisted three New York area rappers to round out the “Knicks” remix. They’re Action Bronson, Ransom, and Joey Bada$$, who appear on the track in that order and bring their respective style to the tune. I’m partial to Bronson’s verse, personally, but I have to say that all three MCs definitely brought it here. Can we get a preview of that cut with BJ already? Hell, he and MadGibbs should do their own project together, damnit.

Man, what I wouldn’t give for BJ and Madlib to hook up for a whole album. ‘Lib’s always been real underrated with his R&B skill (the collab with Georgia Anne and any time he linked up with Stacy Epps are all fantastic).

Yeah, the Knicks beat is super old now, since this will be the 3rd time it’ll be released to consumers, including twice on this project….
