You know, I went back and forth about posting Frank Ocean‘s open letter to his fans discussing his sexuality via his Tumblr. First off, we have been covering news more often these past few months, but then I thought to myself: “Should this really be news?” I mean, he did want this to be known considering he put it out there for everyone to read.
But then I thought about how difficult this must have been for Frank and how awesome it is that dude felt comfortable and brave enough to do this. You might instantly reply with a “So?” or an “And?” or a “Who cares?”, but this moment in a gay or bisexual person’s life is huge, especially when said person is in the public eye like Frank.
Anyway, I could prattle on about this and how, personally, it won’t do a damn thing to change my view of his music–I’d have to be a monster to feel that way–but instead, I’ll just let you read his open letter to his fans below. Happy Fourth, y’all.

It kills me when artists do this. It just makes me want to listen more. Def have to see this dude when he comes to Boston on the 28th. Channel Orange can’t get here soon enough.
