Fly Union is one of those acts who makes the kind of smooth, laid-back hip-hop you want to listen to either on a sunny weekend afternoon or after a long night out on the town. You know, when you’re winding down, still gripping a drink, and looking to keep your eyes low. You can thank the Ohio-based trio’s producers iYe and Jay Swifa for that. Although to be fair, it wouldn’t be quite as chill without their rhyming along with fellow Fly Union-ite Jerreau, who rounds out the trio. You can hear exactly what I’m describing across their new album, TGTC (The Greater Than Club), which features like-minded trio Pac Div and Dom Kennedy.
