The title “Hip Hop Spa” perfectly labels the vibes created by this dreamy cut from Brooklyn’s Fatima Al Qadiri. If I had to try to describe it, I’d say it’s most like if you slowed down and distorted cuts from Nosaj Thing’s Drift, then doused it in tropical steel drums and a healthy serving of bass. The slow hip-hop lurch is actually somewhat reminiscent of The Two.Fifteens’ track we highlighted a couple weeks back. “Hip Hop Spa” is the opening cut of the EP Genre-Specific Xperience, and from what I’m hearing with this track, it’s definitely worth investigating.
