Father Moth – “The Moth and The Piano”

father-mothFather Moth is a somewhat-mysterious producer hailing from Toronto who has a penchant for synthesizers. The thing is, he apparently had to borrow one from his friend Don Baird to create “The Moth and The Piano” and the guy even gets a shout out on the Soundcloud page. Rightfully so, because the synth elements on here are monstrous and grind against each other like two horny Transformers at an underwater night club. That might sound absurd and overly dramatic (and it is), but Father Moth ties it all together with candy-like repeating chords.

When he’s not making music under this alias, the T-Dot native also records ambient music and recently helped produced that great, albeit slept-on, Decade project. You can stream “The Moth and The Piano” below.
