Gearing up for his Champagne and Styrofoam Cups LP, West Coast native Fashawn liberates his single, “Back In The Game”. The track is celebratory and accessible, perfect to set the tone for what is shaping up to be Fashawn’s proper solo debut. Not to discount Boy Meets World, but it looks like Fash is trying his best to expand his sound into the mainstream without losing any underground luster. Plus, I consider that album more of a collaboration considering it was produced entirely by Exile. I have a feeling that I’ll end up preferring Boy Meets World in any case, but hopefully tracks like this Chevy Woods song will end up in the hands of a much larger audience come Nov. 13 when this album is set to drop.
