Finally, it is here. Cold Legistics’ new album, Northern Star has arrived, and it was well worth all the wait. If you need some schooling on Cold Legistics, start here. This 20-track instrumental album is filled with some of the most soothing beats that will grace your ears all year, mark my words! I usually don’t like to drop Dilla’s name everywhere, but this definitely stays true to that classic Jay Dee sound that we have all been itching for since his passing. I would also like to briefly make a note of the fantastic Pharcyde remix, “Shelly”, which falls as the 20th track on Northern Star. Give this beautiful piece a spin and leave some thoughts after the jump… Enjoy!
