U.K. producer Evian Christ, who worked on Yeezus, has a knack for treading ever so closely to industrial sounds with his instrumental work that bangs so hard you often forget how abrasive it sounds. And that’s evident on new single “Salt Carousel”, which is the first we’re hearing off his upcoming Waterfall EP that drops early next year. It starts out all bleak and atmospheric with a bizarre vocal making an appearance before BAM, the drums and bass hit. Then it’s basically pure mayhem, even when the lead synths (I think?) cut out and the focus shifts a bit.
