Along with being staunch supporters of boom-bap and out-there electronic manipulations, we also happen to adore pastoral indie rock here at Potholes. And if it has a slight electronic touch? Oh man, we fall head over heels. At least, I know I do, because that’s just what happened when I heard Evenings’ North Dorm EP earlier this year. The Charlottesville, Va.-based multi-instrumentalist has returned with another great project in the Lately EP. It basically picks up where North Dorm left off as it was recorded around the same time and puts the spotlight on a clear progression in Evenings’ ever-improving approach.
