First and foremost, I’d like to wish Erick Arc Elliott a belated happy birthday. He turned 25 yesterday and, fittingly, dropped a new track named after his new age. “25” provides a look back at his career to date and how, sometimes, he feels like he was born in 1970. It’s got a “I Just Wasn’t Made For These Times” tinge to it with, of course, a hip-hop bent. It’s also just another impressive showing from the multi-talented Brooklynite who’s been on our radar for several years here at Potholes. I’m hoping that dude has the time to release another solo effort, though I’d be happy with getting that new Flatbush Zombies project sooner rather than later.
