El-P – “Time Won’t Tell” (Nocando Remix)

I know I’m going to sound like a hater here, but I don’t care: Typically, I loathe tracks like this. Too many times MCs feel the need to jump on instrumentals that should be left alone. There are, of course, the exceptions to the rule, but those come so rarely that I sometimes can’t help detesting something like this instantly. Luckily for us, though, that ain’t the case here. Nocando sounds so natural over El-P’s grimy “Time Won’t Tell” cut that you would think they worked on the vocals version first. I’m hoping that this isn’t the only Weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3 instrumental Nocando jumps on.

  1. El.P is an angry man

  2. @Justin: that’s just that blowed style. When I read the lines I was hype cause Nocando would fit Mel’s style nicely, but not on that joint. Its perfect without vocals.

  3. Sounded like he was a couple feet past his limit, I dunno…that whole take sounded like a guy on the verge of just shouting into the mic to be heard over a loud PA. Made it hard to understand some of his lines…I’m definitely gonna stick with the original rapperless version.
