One of the Internet’s best music-related video series, Rhythm Roulette, continues on today with none other than El-P. Like other producers before him, he’s asked to pick three records while blindfolded and then sample them to create a new beat on the spot. The Brooklyn stalwart ends up snagging, among others, a Beethoven album that he proceeds to poke fun at before crafting an instrumental. He has to do so with a messed up turntable and a “broken piece of sh-t” sampler that he thought was fixed. Despite all this, he still makes a pretty gnarly beat because, let’s be real, El-P is a beast and had everything he needs: weed, cigarettes, and some beer. Oh, and those records.
