Earl Sweatshirt Inks Deal With Sony, Announces Albums With Tyler, The Creator & Matt Martians

It appears that Earl Sweatshirt has some huge plans for his solo career now that he’s home, rested, and ready to start recording again. He revealed to the The New York Times that he has his own imprint/distribution deal through Columbia Records, meaning he’s not under the OF Records umbrella. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s working on a solo album and projects with Matt Martians and Tyler, the Creator.

While this is, of course, wildly interesting in its own right, Earl also noted that we won’t be hearing any more rape imagery in his lyrics. Apparently he was moved by working at a sexual abuse center for children during his time in Samoa. Good for him. Seriously.
