Here’s a slippery fish of an outtake that got through the cracks of Ducktails’ forthcoming album. It’s a half-charming, half-chilling instrumental jingle from Real Estate’s Matt Mondanile. It leads with an airy riff, anchored to dock by a kick drum and a drum machine.
Feel free to cast your own impressions upon this laidback tune but I’m going cruisin’ down some warm weathered coast – top optional – if only because it’s already cold out now. Of course, this has nothing to do with the song’s title “Dorm Room,” but look for Mondanile’s third album (Ducktails III: Arcade Dynamics) in January.
