Oddisee recently dropped the very, very dope instrumental opus Traveling Man. It features tracks named after the cities they were created in while also capturing the vibe of the location. That means a track like “Stockholm”, a personal favorite from the album, evokes chilly evenings and snowy landscapes via a slick piano-loop and crunchy drums. But it just wouldn’t be right to keep these fully instrumental. As such, Oddisee enlisted fellow Diamond District’er yU to tackle “New York City”. It all makes for what hopefully leads to a full EP or album of rappers spitting over Oddisee’s globetrotting instrumentals. *crosses fingers*

fwiw, stockholm is the only track (that i know of) that *already* had a version with words (it’s the 1.1.10 intro on X.O.’s album).
