Aside from maybe a track or two from Disclosure, I’d say that Ciara‘s “Body Party” is the high point of pop music on the year. It’s danceable, catchy, and frankly just a genuinely very enjoyable track. Now it’s not new territory for him, Jacques Greene has flipped Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation” into a beauty, but he’s done it again, this time to Ciara’s R&B summer jam.
The Montreal producer flipped the “Body Party” into flurry of welling synths and claps, and saying he did the original production justice is probably an understatement. You can download the track here for free as part of the brief two track Greene 02 release here alongside “Sorry,” another Ciara cut. No apologies for the Monday morning dance parties this might start.
