His guest this past week was none other Erykah Badu doing promotion for her latest album New Amerykah Part Two (Return Of The Ankh). Gilles & Erykah discussed the current album and went though new songs. They also happened to play a white label song by Edith Funker. Edith Funker is a super-group comprised of Erykah Badu, James Poyser, Questlove, Nikka Costa, Mike Elizondo & others. After listening to the track I realized quickly this is the snippet (at 2:39 mark) from Erykah’s “Honey” video which I initially thought was from an album called Lowdown Loretta Brown.
