Download: Diamond District – “I Mean Business” [mp3]
If you haven’t heard Diamond District’s In The Ruff yet, I have one question for you: How’s that rock you have been living under? I hope it’s cozy, because otherwise you have no excuse for not hearing this fantastic album. Well, if you somehow missed out on the trio’s stellar LP, here’s your late-pass. Snarkiness aside, the DMV group has decided to release its debut effort in retail stores – both physical and digital – later this month. And to tease you all, here’s one of the album’s finer cuts, “I Mean Business”, as it appears on the final version of In The Ruff.

Definitely been sending people here lately cuz this just keeps coming on repeat…bananas.
Justin – This album is really great. To me (although I don’t live in the DMV area) this album actually seems to be somewhat anthemic for them. I really dig it front to back, and this isn’t even my favorite cut. I think “Streets Won’t Let Me Chill” is absolutely brilliant!
Oh, I heard the album back when the clean version dropped. Just saying, I’m sending people HERE to introduce them to the group lately, because this particular track…is definitely one of my favorites.
