Ben Black of Delutionists hit me up today with their debut EP, The Prolusion. I had never heard of these guys before, but I was pleasantly surprised to get a submission that wasn’t total garbage. The production was absolutely spot-on, and the storytelling and wordplay was quite impressive as well. Now you must be warned, Delutionists are from the UK, so the accent is obvious. But don’t let that turn you off one bit. I will be the first to admit, UK emcees are usually not my thing. There are a few exceptions (Dizzee Rascal, The Streets), but for the most part it is a pass. Take my word for it, this is not something you want to pass on. I still think they need a little work, but this is a damn good start. Check it out and let us know what you think…
