Soundcloud has opened up an interesting door for artists looking to share their work with their fans. While most use it to stream their latest single, EP, album or mixtape, some are taking to the platform to bounce rough ideas and demos off their listeners. Dam-Funk has been doing this for the past year or so, and Black Milk is the latest to give his fan base a glimpse into his process.
The Detroit rapper-producer’s latest drop, The Kraft, is like an instrumental EP condensed into a nearly five-minute track. There are a slew of different ideas at work here, many of which I’m hoping find a home on Black Milk’s new album. I mean, that synth-y part at the end? Man.
