Let me just lay this out there: You have never heard Drake sound like he does on She Was No Tame Thing. This remix project by producers Ahnnu and D/P/I flips material from Drizzy straight on its head and then into the far reaches of the universe. Seriously, the samples on here, most of which stem from Nothing Was The Same, are almost entirely indistinguishable and give way to something so warped and out there that it’s kind of difficult to explain.
Imagine tripping balls and a portion of NWTS getting stuck on repeat on your turntable. And then imagine the LP coming to life and dancing on a piano as a faint beat playing behind it. That’s what I’m picturing at least, and I’m glad I listened to this project so I could get that mental image.
