Even though Ilyas won’t be appearing on the next Tanya Morgan, that doesn’t mean he’s not recording new tunes. He’s apparently been in the studio with another MC, Juice Lee, and together they form Double Dragon. And they just dropped off this brand new, nerdcore-centric album, Double Dragon 2K11. It features guests such as Mega Ran, Jermiside, and Stella joining the rapper duo on their quest through various video game-sampling beats. I’m not sure if this will be a new direction for Ilyas or if it’s just some kind of one-off idea. But I don’t think I really care as long as he and Juice keep bringing bars like this. Goddamn, guys.
