We’ve mentioned the producer Dose here on Potholes when he released his Bliss EP, and here we have him taking a swing at the song everyone wants to remix at the moment: “Gucci Gucci” by Kreayshawn. The remix subdues the aggression towards high-priced brands fueled by the original beat and turns it into a more chill verbal withdrawal from the bank of Gucci compliments. There’s a nice repetitive emphasis on the phrase “basic bitches” but if you’re looking for mentions of female reproductive organs pumping the word plastered inside every young person’s speech bubble this past year, you’ll be disappointed.
But that’s not all. Dose also released his new LP this week, The Daydream Effect. It’s 10 new songs from the Columbus producer that seem to have the same feel his remix did. These are light beats. They sound how a container of Snuggle looks, but only if the detergent bear was replaced with the Tone Loc voiced C Bear. The tag on his page for the album says “romantic”, and it definitely sounds like he lifted some of the samples off of r&b songs, but whether you get to second base with this album on is up to you.

Well seeing there are no lyricots to this remix other than whats laced into the instrumental this is sick. I personally think the original song is terrible.
