And remember how they wanted to take the creepy-as-fuck technology out on the road for a tour? Yeah, you probably remember that, too. Well, don’t bet on that ever happening.
The company behind the hologram—they also worked on some big-budget films and wanted to make Elvis a hologram—has filed for bankruptcy. It would appear that they’re in some pretty big debt, CNN Money reports. How much? Well, “As of June 30, the company had assets of $205 million and debts of $214 million.” Ouch. Has divine justice been served here? Maybe.
