DJ Jazzy Jeff has gone the solo route for his latest project, Life Colors, which finds the legendary turntable maestro crafting a party-ready blend of tracks both old and new. There’s a lot of ground covered on the mixtape’s hour-long running time, as you’ll hear joints from the Pharcyde, G.O.O.D. Music, and Bell Biv Devoe. There’s also some more unfortunate joints on here, like opener “We Are Young” by fun. But for the most part, Life Colors is another superb mix from Jazzy Jeff, who needs to put another album out soon.
