Pro Era’s week of new releases continued last night with “Maxwell”, a soulful song for the ladies featuring members Rokamouth, Dirty Sanchez, and the late Capital STEEZ. Just as he did whenever he shared the mic with his cohorts, STEEZ stands out here flowing over the boom-bap beat that samples Maxwell’s “Bad Habits”. That’s not to say Rokamouth and Sanchez don’t hold their own, because they most certainly do. It’s just difficult hearing STEEZ sound so mature and confident here, only to know he’s no longer with us.
