Just a week or so after this project was announced, we have the joint EP, Mount Wittenberg Orca, upon us from Dirty Projectors and Bjork. On their own, we all pretty much know that whatever they put out will be, at the very least, interesting, if not fantastic. And this project is essentially a combination of those two adjectives, with the these two putting together sometimes accessible, sometimes wacky tracks. One of the highlights is easily “When the World Comes to an End”, which some of you might have heard Dirty Projectors perform a few months ago before they performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Now, we get the official studio cut that sounds just as crazy and awesome as the live version. Should you decide to plunk down some money for this EP, you can feel good about yourself because the funds go toward National Geographic Society’s Ocean Initiative.
